Save the Marikina Watershed Project

The I am Ninoy, I am Cory Foundation would like to invite ASMPH Students to become volunteers to their event this Saturday, February 25, 2012.

The itinerary to the event is as follows:

1. 4:30 AM – organizers and team leaders’ assembly
2. 5:00 AM – arrival of bus & loading of materials
3. 5:30 AM –  call time for volunteers – Team leaders to start with the attendance check & distribution of materials
4. Before 6:30 – leave for Brgy. Calawis Antipolo (distribution of AM sncaks & short briefing of volunteers, C/O team leaders)
5. 8 AM – arrival at the site & simple set up (tarp, sound system)
6. 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM – Welcoming Program and Orientation
   • Welcome Remarks -(?) NCAF
   • Message from Ayala Malls (?)
   • Orientation c/o FPE3 with Edsel Ramirez
7. 9 AM to 11 AM – NURSERY DUTY
   • ENTERTAINMENT C/O ENTABLADO GUYS
   • PHOTO OPS
   • CLOSING REMARKS
   • LUNCH / WASH UP (to be served either in covered court or in the bus)
8. 12 NN  - travel back to TriNoma

1. Miting de Avance tomorrow, 5th floor lecture hall, 5:30 onwards.

    Come to see each candidate present his/her platform!

    This is the only chance to ask candidates directly about their stands regarding school issues in a public forum!

2. Elections on Friday

    YL5, YL6 and YL9 will hold their Elections on Friday, February 17 2012.

    For YL5 and YL6, voting booths will be placed outside your respective classrooms. You may vote during your respective lunch breaks, and from time your respective classes end up to 6:00.

    For YL9, Elections will be open online from Friday (Feb 17 2012) 12:00pm to Sunday (Feb 19 2012) 11:59am. Instructions on how to vote will be given in further announcements.

    YL7 and YL8 will have their elections postponed until the day of Special Elections (Feb 27 2012)

2. Statement of the ASMPH-SC COMELEC regarding unfiled positions:

As of 1:00pm of the 10th of February 2012 – the stated deadline for the filing of candidacies for the 2012 ASMPH-SC Elections – no candidate has filed for the following positions:

YL8 Executive Officer

YL9 Executive Officer

YL9 Legislative Officer

 No special extension for filing of candidacies will be given as a critical incident in the 2011 Elections, where an extension was given only for unfiled positions, resulted in confusion among potential candidates. In doing so, the COMELEC would like to prevent any untoward events that could malign the integrity and legitimacy of the Elections.

Therefore, the ASMPH COMELEC will now take the following actions:

Pursuant to its authority mandated in Art. XIII Sec. 4 of the ASMPH-SC Constitution, the ASMPH COMELEC declares a failure of elections for the following positions: YL8 Executive Officer, YL9 Executive Officer, YL9 Legislative Officer.

The ASMPH-COMELEC will now initiate Special Elections in accordance with Art. XIII Sec. 3 of the ASMPH-SC Constitution and III.6 of the Electoral Code.

The Elections will push through as previously scheduled, but Special Elections will be held ten (10) days after the day of the Election. The intervening period between the day of Election and Special Elections will be allotted for the filing of candidacies and campaign period for the unfiled positions. Counting of ballots shall be delayed until after the conclusion of the Special Elections.

The new schedule for the ASMPH-SC 2012 Elections is as follows:

Feb 13-16 – Campaign Period
Feb 16 – Miting de Avance
Feb 17 – Election day

Feb 18 – Re-opening of filing of candidacies for YL8 EO, YL9 EO, YL9 LO
Feb 22 – Deadling for filing of candidacies for YL8 EO, YL9 EO, YL9 LO
Feb 23-24 – Campaign period
Feb 24 – Miting de Avance
Feb 27 – day of Special Elections
Feb 28 – Counting of ALL ballots
